Are we really eating good or are studios just scared to greenlight new IPs?

Okay, don't get me wrong, I'm hyped for the new stuff, but looking at the Winter 2026 lineup... it's giving "greatest hits" album. We got remakes of classics like Magic Knight Rayearth and even Jigoku Sensei Nube getting a reboot . According to some industry analysts (shoutout Bushiroad), studios are playing it ultra-safe because the 30-something demographic has the cash .

But like... where are the original bangers? Everything feels like a reboot, a sequel, or another generic isekai where the MC is OP because he likes farming . I'm getting tired of the nostalgia bait. I love my childhood, but I also want something fresh that isn't based on a light novel title longer than my arm. Anyone else feel this "brain rot" of recycled content, or am I just being a hater?
